Make a comittment to make your first $1000 online. It's like a committment to lose your first 5 punds in wieght loss.

#1 reason to fail in Intenet business (and a lot other things) is because people never start.

And you need to make it achivable, something that you can believe yourself, to make yourself really commit to it and reach for it.

#2 People put product in front of markets.

People spend tons of effort doing a product isolated from the market. Instead, try the market first, then decide on the product base on the market feedback.

* Find the right market.
* And do the right kind of market research.

Only two things matter:

1. Can you generate enough traffic?
2. Can you find offer that convert?

How to find answers to this questions without spending a lot of money and time?

Answer: "piggy-back business".

Step 1. Find related affiliate offers.
Step 2. Drive traffic quickly and cheaply.
STep 3. Evaluate the results.

Now you know if the market is worth the effort.

If there no affiliate offers, maybe it's not that profitable?

Why test? Even though domain, hosting and HTML page is easy, doing without helps to etst a lot more niches/markets.

1. How much traffic you can generate?
2. How much you need to spend to get the trafic?
3. WHich marketing messages work best - squeeze pages, email marketing, how to tweak your future product, how to price your offer?
4. Keywords tooptimize for or bid on.

Don't waste time on the market unless it's proven to be worth it.

First step: find affiliate markets.

Think of niches. Don't get fizated on any, test many. Pick a niche, find affiliate offers.

How?

Method 1: Google, enter keywords, look at the ads on the right.
Method 2: ClickBank, CPA Networks.
Method 3: House offers. Not cpa/affiliate Networks, owner run afiliate offers.

Google: keywords + "affiliate" or "associate"

If no offers with any of the methods, move on. That's a bad sign, it means that nobody makes money in this market.

It's not good if there is no competitors. It's not likely that you are the frirst person in the world who thought about it, more likely a lot of people tried and failed.

Step 2. Getting traffic fast and cheap

If you want the traffic quick, you have to buy it.
Every free method (SEO, social media, articles,...) takes time to get.

Buy at Google, Yahoo, MSN, send directly to affiliate offer. Yes, it's not allowed. Yes. You'll get a slap. But it will take 24-48 hours. But taht's not a business model, it's a market research. Just use for 24 hours and stop it. You'll see if you can gnerate traffic and if the offers in this market works.

Interesting note: today because of economics downturn, keywords are cheaper.

The point is: we inest as small as possible, risk as small as possible to test teh niche, because testing is CRITICAL and must be done. This technique just give you a chance to get test cheap.

Now that you found teh niche, all you need to do is to switch affilicate product with your own product, and get an instant raise.

Don't be basketball player, own a basketball team, that way you make much more. That's the publisher model.

You don't have risk anymore, you tested the niche, now you can invest in creating teh product.

You don't have to create it yourself. Your choices:

1. Hire somebody
2. Interview some expert, be a reporter
3. Or maybe even go and buy somebody else's business in the niche and get it into the shape.

You are out of excuses. You can start now and test the niche. You odn't have to cerate a product, you know how to create it even if you cannto do that yourself.
