Bill Glazer's "Outrageous Advertising" book

Ok, when I've got advertising by Matt Bacak for Bill Glazer's "Outrageous Advertising" book it looked like a genuine deal. The price ($19.95) was reasonable, table of content and first pages looked very interesting, bonuses from a bunch of gurus did not looked bad either, even though no specifics were mentioned what they are, what else...

Then I checked a few other things. The book is already available on Amazon for $13.57. It's published in May 2009 (right now it's mid-August).

I don't mind price difference, after all $6.50 for a bunch of unnamed "bonuses" is nothing worse than Shawn Casey's innumerable "free" DVDs for $9.97 s&h. Kind of expected. Besides, $19.97 is the official cover price. And I'd always buy from the author directly, if I have that option, even if it means a few extra bucks. Just a sign of respect to a person, whose work I appreciate enough to spend my time reading his book. After all, the time I'll spend reading it, anyway, costs me much more.

But inconsistencies annoy. And why make people wait till October? POD houses run out of paper?

Considering that I pride myself in learning everything that matters, and his book was recommended by such people as Dan Kennedy and Perry Marshal, I'll certainly read it. In fact, I certainly will buy it. From the first three chapters, he gives for free, that I already read, that looks like a must read (if you can digest that grade material, of course). And his "outrageous advertising" philosophy falls right into the plan I am already considering implementing some time next year. But I am still scratching my head about all that strange stuff...

No, really, here is the book on Amazon (see on the left) and here is his page: http://www.outrageous-advertising.com/outrageous.php What's up?

Added 8/22: Found a bit more. He's not just charging more, he also tries to subscribe buyers of his book to a $50/month club continuity. To his defense, I admit, it's optional. And the title does not lie, it feels outrageous, all right.
